The
Summit at
Madison
was formed in the summer of 2005 with five families meeting in each
other’s homes.
In the fall of that same year, the group
decided to seek a more adequate facility in which to worship and grow,
and weekly services moved to the old
Bright
Starz
Academy
located just outside
Madison in Rutledge,
Georgia.
After
a little over a year, in February 2006, the church relocated to
Morgan County
Elementary School
in
Madison,
where services were held until the first Sunday in November 2011, when
we moved to our new facility at 2011 Athens Highway.
The
Summit’s
mission is to be a Great Commandment, Great Commission body of
believers.
Our desire is to love the Lord Jesus
passionately and to make Him known positively.
Banding together hand-in-hand to reach the lost and unchurched in Morgan
County; Georgia; America; and the world.
He has blessed us as a church and as His
body, we want to be His hands and feet and voice in our community and in
the world. God continues to shower His wonderful blessing on us and we
continue to grow.
In the Bible Belt, you won’t
have any problem finding a church to attend.
There are congregations of every
denomination meeting just minutes from your home.
So why choose The Summit?
It’s simple, really.
There is a place for you in our family. If
you are looking for a fellowship where you can continue your walk of
faith, reconnect with Jesus Christ, or perhaps meet Him for the first
time, we invite you to be our guest at The Summit.
